LAST NIGHT ON THE ULTIMATE STATE OF MIND - UNLOVABLE By Muyiwa Afolabi

As mankind we're too self-preserving, sensitive and judgmental to be considerate, loving and caring in life. We always look out for people, associations, relationships and involvements that would hold good benefits for us. We usually would shy away from any person or group we feel wouldn't pay us good returns.
We criticize and judge people for habits, behaviors and wrong doings we are not guilty of. Should we be guilty of same, our opinion and views would most likely differ.

Anyway, its human nature to gravitate towards peace, joy, convenience and comfort than heartaches, stress, issues and problems, but not so with Deolu.
Deolu, a very responsible fine gentleman one day went for a haircut at a very sophisticated salon around his new neighborhood. He had just relocated to that estate and needed to cut his hair so this very well packaged and structured hair dressing and barbing salon caught his fancy.

He went in and was very impressed by what he saw. The workers were very professional, courteous and friendly. He was very impressed with their services. When he was done with his haircut he asked who the owner of this very sophisticated salon was and to his shock and amazement, the owner was actually there with the other hairdressers; fixing a hair extension for a customer.

Shade, the owner of the big and beautiful salon was working alongside her staff members; they were all about 15 in number; young guys and ladies, specialists in different aspects of hair dressing, grooming, facials, manicure, pedicure and all the works. Their age profile was between 21 and about 30 years in age. Shade the owner of the salon however, was about 25 years in age. Deolu was impressed, he was very impressed. How could such a young girl own a business like this and manage it so effectively. Deolu immediately made up his mind to be friends with this young, fine lady.

Deolu approached her and complimented her effort at owning and managing so efficiently this beautiful business. Shade thanked him and smiled courteously. She's heard this said by many customers several times it didn't mean much to her any longer. She'd just thank them with a smile and continue working.

Deolu however wanted to take this further, he asked for her personal phone number, Shade was a bit taken aback but she gave him all the same and that was the beginning of a very dramatic relationship experience for the duo.
Deolu worked with a world class financial and investment company. He was doing well and earning much. He was however ready to settle down in marriage at age 32, and in his opinion, an enterprising, achiever like Shade wouldn't be a bad choice.
He began to put pressure on Shade for a relationship. Shade laughed out loud at him the first night he mentioned it to her. He had gone to her salon waited for her to close and offered to take her home that late evening.

It was a short but slow ride and they talked for a long while. They shared information and necessary details about each other and Deolu didn't waste time in making his intentions known.
A question Shade asked him that he got to understand later was ‘are you sure you can handle me?’ Deolu felt like a man in love and in charge and with so much confidence said yes.
Shade, still laughing at him said ‘okay oo, let us start naa,you are a man abi? Let go there’. Deolu was amazed at her reaction, but was happy she didn't turn him down, so he didn't let it bother him. Gradually, he began to see what she meant.

A few weeks later, they were in a cozy eatery around their neighbourhood having dinner. Suddenly a young man of about twenty seven years came in to the eatery, immediately he saw Shade, he started shouting her praise, hailing her and dancing around the table they sat on. Shade began to laugh, Deolu was embarrassed as the young man drew attention to their table. The young man looked rough, with tattoos on his arms, sagged, rag jeans, plaited
